Cutie...

Brooke went back to CHOP yesterday for her check up. The Dr. said the pathology report was negative- as we had expected- and that she looked great. She will not need any follow up care at this point. I am happy to say that I (hopefully) had my last meal at the CHOP food court (which is actually really good food)! We are very lucky that we found the mass so early. It may have caused her some serious problems before we ever figured out what was causing them. God has a plan...

Brooke weighed in at 13.6. She has started sucking her thumb, and I think she may be our first thumb sucker. She is changing everyday, she has been moving her legs and arms more and more, and loves to look at our faces.

Two month check up

Brooke had her two month check up today. She is 12 lbs. 11 ozs. and 22.5 inches. She is a big girl, just like all the Z babies before her. Lucky for her they even out with age. The Dr. answered all my many questions- yes even with baby number four I still ask questions, and Brooke is doing great. She is smiling more and more every day, which is so much fun... although today is not her finest moment. She received 4 shots and is grumpy. Once the smiles return, I will post more pics!

Brooke did great! They were able to remove the mass without harm to her other organs. Dr. A is certain the mass will be benign. The Dr.'s say she can come home today. She does not seem to be in any pain, and is eating well. Mike, Evan, Zac, and I are here waiting for her discharge. This all seems to be behind us now. Thank you so much for your prayers and support. This is the best outcome we could have hoped for.

She's done, haven't seen her yet, dr says things went well. Still thinks it is benign, and she should have no long term effects. THANK GOD!
Dr.'s took Brooke in to surgery at 9:30, it will take about an hour. She was doing well when i last saw her...

Some Pictures...

Brooke is getting chubby chubby legs! She is starting to smile, but catching it on camera is TOUGH!

Road Trip!

Brooke went on her first vacation. She was wonderfully behaved for the 6 hour car ride. Our family met my parents and niece and nephew, Kate and Michael, at Jill and Mike's condo in Killington, Vermont. The big kids (Evan, Zac, Michael, and Kate) hiked with Mike and my Dad. Last year we hiked Killington as well as Mount Washington, NH, so they are pros! They all did great as always. I am basically attached at the hip to Brooke, so even though my mom was there to help with Logan, I chose not to hike. Mostly due to breastfeeding issues. Despite plenty of rain, we all had a great time.

This Friday is Brooke's surgery. I told myself I would not think about it until after vacation, and here it is... "after vacation." My parents, Mike, and I will be there Friday, hoping for some good news! Please continue to pray for Brooke as she unknowingly has some tough days ahead of her. I will update my blog as soon as time allows, thank you all for your kind words and support!
